RHF Fans Celebrates 45 Years of British Manufacturing

2026 marks a significant milestone for RHF Fans as we celebrate 45 years of designing, manufacturing, servicing, and supporting industrial fan systems across the UK and beyond.

Founded in 1981, RHF Fans has grown from a specialist engineering business into a trusted partner for customers across a wide range of industries. While much has changed over the past four and a half decades, our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer service remains the same. Today, RHF Fans continues to be a third-generation family-run business, with every fan designed and manufactured in-house at our facility in Irlam, Greater Manchester.

Over the years, we have developed more than 20,000 fan designs, supplying bespoke solutions for applications ranging from agriculture and manufacturing to waste management, energy, and process industries. This experience allows us to understand the unique challenges our customers face and deliver solutions tailored to their exact requirements.

Efficiency has always been a key focus of our engineering approach. Our centrifugal fan designs can typically achieve 10–15% greater efficiency than many standard industry alternatives, helping customers reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and improve overall system performance. Combined with our comprehensive service and maintenance support, we help customers maximise the lifespan and reliability of their equipment long after installation.

Celebrating 45 Years

We were delighted to mark our 45th anniversary on 11 June while exhibiting at Cereals 2026, one of the UK’s leading agricultural events. The timing could not have been more fitting, as we celebrated the occasion alongside customers and industry professionals from across the agricultural sector with plenty of birthday with cake and refreshments.

The celebrations are continuing closer to home on 19 June, when we will be welcoming customers, suppliers, and partners to our Irlam facility for a special anniversary event. The afternoon will provide an opportunity to reconnect with long-standing industry contacts, meet members of the RHF Fans team, and celebrate the people and partnerships that have contributed to our success over the years.

Sharing Our Knowledge

While we are proud of our history, we are equally focused on the future. One of the biggest challenges we see within industry is that fan selection is often overlooked during project planning, despite the significant impact it can have on system performance, efficiency, energy consumption, and operating costs.

To help address this, we will be launching a new educational campaign over the coming months focused on fan knowledge and best practice. Through a series of short videos, practical guides, and technical insights, we aim to help engineers, project managers, and end users better understand fan selection and system design considerations.

Topics will include fan laws, system resistance, fan curves, efficiency, maintenance, and common specification mistakes that can impact performance. Whether you are designing a new installation, upgrading existing equipment, or simply looking to improve efficiency, we hope these resources will provide valuable guidance and support.
